Rickets Project Coordinator at Hope for the Village Child Foundation

Experience: The organization is seeking for a person with experience working with a development organization, preferably with focus on health.

Location: Kwoi and Kaduna, Kaduna State (depending on specific task at any particular time).

Project Summary (Rickets Project)

The rickets project identifies and treats children who exhibit signs of rickets. This is done with a calcium supplement and where necessary, with surgery. It also works to address the immediate cause of rickets and to seek for collaboration for those who are stakeholders in promoting the health of children.

Reporting and Superviosion

The Coordinator reports to the Head of Health Section in particular and to the Management Team as a body. The Coordinator will supervise all staff who are part of the rickets project team.

Responsibilities

The Coordinator will:

• Oversee all aspects of the project.
• Will supervise all staff in the project.
• Will liaise with stakeholders on all of the project.
• Will ensure that all reports are accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
• Will represent the organization in matters relating to the project as directed by the Head of Health.
• Will ensure that all project activities are in accordance with the approved project.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work within a culturally diverse team.
• Excellent written and oral presentatioin in English and Hausa.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages.
• Ability to multi task.
• Ability to listen and communicate well.
