A restaurant manager ensures the restaurant runs smoothly.They hire and train staff following company policies.In addition restaurant managers speak with customers about any concerns or problems,while also creating work schedules

Responsibilities

• coordinating daily restaurant management operations 
• Delivering superior food and beverage service and ensure customer satisfaction
• Responding efficiently and accurately to restaurant customer complaints 
• Regularly review product quality and research new vendors 
• Organise and supervise shifts 
• Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
• Manage restaurant's good image and suggest ways to improve it 
• Control operational costs and improvise ways to improve it
• Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
• Recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g discounts and social media ads)
• Create detailed reports on weekly,monthly and annual revenue and expenses

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS 

• Proven work experience as a restaurant manager,restaurant general manager
• Extensive food and beverage knowledge,with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers 
• Familiarity with restaurant management software,like open table etc
• Acute financial management skills
• BSC degree in business admiistration,hosptatlity management or culinary school is a plus
