Research Technician at IITA - International Institute of Tropical Agriculture

Duties

• Assist in implementation of all post-harvest operations under supervision of the post-harvest supervisors and line breeder.
• Assist in receiving, sorting and recording samples received from field trials.
• Assist in data collection on cassava roots.
• Assist in processing cassava roots into designated food products (mainly gari, starch and odourless fufu).
• Assist in determination of dry matter and starch content.
• Perform any other job-related tasks as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Competences:

The ideal candidate must:

• Have ability to work with little or no supervision.
• Have data collection and samples sorting skills.
