    Research & Project Developer

    Job Description

    • The Research & Project Developer is responsible for determining, researching, planning, coordinating, and monitoring research and development strategies, implementing new programs and protocols into the organisation.
    • The research & project developer oversees the development of new products/ project priorities from conception to commissioning to support the organisation's objectives and to capitalize on potential new products.
    • The role requires excellent communication skills, an understanding of project management with a cross functional knowledge or expertise of diverse fields and financing.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Plan, coordinate and execute assigned research projects.
    • Lead research team to complete projects within allotted timelines and budgets.
    • Develop and enforce research policies and procedures.
    • Oversees complex research projects, analyses results, and provides recommendations based on findings.
    • Perform project design and development activities according to customer specifications.
    • Work with management to prepare project plan, budget, schedules, project proposals and contractual documents etc.
    • Track project progress regularly and develop status reports to management.
    • Address project issues and escalate complex issues to management. Ensure that project is completed within allotted budget and timelines.
    • Follow company policies and safety regulations for operational efficiency.
    • Research and recommend new technologies to carry out project development tasks.
    • Prepare project documentations and research reports for management review.
    • Provide support to other project managers, perform peer reviews and provide feedback for improvements.
    • Develop cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality & productivity.
    • Prepares and monitors project budgets, cash flow projections and project schedules
    • Responsible for site selection/development, feasibility study, participate in project team selection and provide support to the operation and maintenance team after project phase if required
    • Perform other project development related duties.

    • Lead: Positively influence others to achieve results that are in the best interest of the organization and have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Make Decisions: Assess situations to determine the importance, urgency and risks, and make clear decisions, which are timely and in the best interests of the organization.
    • Organize: Set priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress towards goals, and track details/data/information/activities.
    • Plan: Determine strategies to move the organization forward, set goals, create and implement actions plans, and evaluate the process and results.
    • Solve Problems: Assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem.
    • Responsibility: Willingness to take on project ownership and accountability

    Experience

    • 5 years of direct research experience in the related area as an individual contributor is required, as well as demonstrated proficiency in project management, including budgeting, planning, execution, delivery, quality assurance, and reporting.
    • One to three (1-3) years supervisory experience will be an advantage
