    Research Patient Enrollment Officer

    Duties And Responsibilities

    PURPOSE

    • Assist a team of researchers to successfully execute research projects through enrollment of study participants.
    • Communicate study details, benefits, and potential risks to prospective participants.
    • Administering study inclusion and exclusion criteria and recruiting eligible patients into studies at EHA Clinics.
    • Ensure accurate data collection, and storage in compliance with regulatory and ethical guidelines.

    ENGAGEMENT

    • Work closely with research teams, investigators, and other stakeholders to align recruitment efforts with study goals.
    • Facilitate effective communication between participants and the research team.
    • Engage with community organizations and stakeholders to promote study awareness and participation.
    • Develop and distribute recruitment materials and resources.

    DELIVERY

    • Ensure recruitment milestones and enrollment targets are met within the established timelines.
    • Respond to participant inquiries and concerns promptly to maintain engagement and trust.
    • Organize participant appointments, follow-up visits, and study timelines to ensure smooth workflow.
    • Adhere to EHA Clinics code of conduct as well as ethical standards of the field.

    Targeted Specialized Knowledge

    • Bachelor’s degree in science, any field from an accredited university with excellent communication skills. 
    • A minimum of 2 years of outstanding work experience as a customer service agent in a nationally recognized organization is essential. 
    • Proficiency in written and spoken English and Hausa languages.
    • Good interpersonal skills and communication with a wide variety of patients, medical staff, and caregivers.
    • Strong computer skills, including Google Suite are desirable.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

    • Keep up to date with relevant medical research, technology, and evidence-based medical practice by attending continuing education courses and professional meetings, reading journals, etc.
    • Research unusual symptoms and treatment options, through consultation with physicians and other medical specialists.
