Request for Proposal: Agricultural Processing Machine for WANEP-Nigeria at West Africa Network for Peace-building (WANEP)

Purpose / Description:

In the expansive landscape of North-West Nigeria, communities grapple with multifaceted challenges that impact the livelihoods of individuals and the sustainability of cooperatives. The region faces issues ranging from agricultural limitations due to climate variability and economic vulnerabilities stemming from insecurity.

In response to these challenges, WANEP-Nigeria through funding from donors seeks to enhance livelihoods across target communities of Kaduna and Katsina States in the North-West Region of Nigeria. A cornerstone of this intervention is the focus on agricultural value chain, including the provision of high-yield seedlings, fertilizers, and farming equipment’s and tools. These initiatives are designed to increase agricultural productivity, ensure food security and income generation for both individuals and cooperatives.

Specifications:

• Winnowing machines for cereal crops both wet and dry milling machines. (7hp petrol engine thresher for rice, wheat, sorghum and millet.) 
• Sewing Machine and Accessories      
• Pumping Machine (for Irrigation)    
• Grinding Machine       
•  Mini tractors (farm Tractor)      
• Rice Processing Machine (7Hp petrol engine, 150-200kg per hour).
• Groundnut Oil Machine 
• Milling Machines (Rice Milling Machine, 7hp petrol engine, 150-200kg per hour).             
• Sprayer (agricultural pest control sprayer).
•  Ploughing machine (7Hp petrol engine suitable for low and high land ploughing)
• Fertilizer (NPK Gas Blend 15:15:15; NPK20:10:5 & Urea) 

Suppliers may not apply, and will be rejected as ineligible, if they:

• Are not registered companies
• Are bankrupt or in the process of going bankrupt
• Have been convicted of illegal/corrupt activities, and/or unprofessional conduct
• Have been guilty of grave professional misconduct
• Have not fulfilled obligations related to payment of social security and taxes
• Are guilty of serious misinterpretation in supplying information

Documents supporting the Eligibility Criteria:  

• Legal Business Registration- A valid copy of Legal Business Registration or CAC Copy.
• valid copy of company’s Tax Identification Number (TIN) with evidence of registration with FIRS attached and an Evidence of Tax clearance Certificate – year 2022
• A filled, stamped and signed supplier’s information document/form.

However, WANEP Nigeria withholds 5% Withholding Tax (WHT) in line with Government regulation in Nigeria.

In view of this, WANEP-Nigeria through funding from International Agencies to engage firms/service providers to provide aagricultural processing machines, sewing machines/tailoring accessories and fertilizers for target locations in Katsina and Kaduna States.
