Turing.com is looking to hire a Senior Python / Data Engineer on behalf of an early stage AI-driven intelligence platform for business users. The engineer will join the team of professionals having experience working at companies like Google, eBay, Paypal and be responsible for scaling the architecture and software development practices. The company specializes in identifying data patterns to draw relevant insights. They are backed by top-tier Silicon Valley investors and Angels. This is a rare opportunity for those who would like to join a well-funded deep data start-up with open engineering, product, and career growth possibilities. This is a full-time, long term position that requires at least 4 hours overlap with PDT.

Job Responsibilities:

• Build API integrations and automate common file system tasks

• Develop and maintain high-performance databases, and data models

• Implement data security and protection practices

• Maintain accuracy in the data models by writing unit/integration tests 

• Perform data analysis and find solutions to improve processes

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)

• 5+ years of experience working as a Python engineer

• Previous data engineering experience to upgrade data and ML pipeline (Spark, EMR)

• In-depth knowledge of AWS and Unix environment (Ubuntu/Linux)

• Good understanding of DAG/workflow management tools

• Experience with CI/CD, Docker and SQL

• Nice to have knowledge of HTML, CSS, REST APIs and cloud independent data engineering tools

• Working knowledge of Prometheus/Grafana and Time Series Database (DRUID/Clickhouse) would be a plus

• Fluency in verbal and written English
