    Relationship Officer

    Job Objective

    • The Relationship Officer (Financial Inclusion) is responsible for building and managing relationships with associations within assigned locations. The role focuses on driving customer acquisition, loan disbursement, and market activation while ensuring strong repayment performance of onboarded customers. The officer will also support financial inclusion initiatives by promoting product adoption at the grassroots level and ensuring sustainable portfolio growth.

    Key Responsibilities

    Customer Acquisition, Lead Generation & Sales

    • Identify, onboard, and activate new markets and locations for financial inclusion products.
    • Drive loan acquisition and disbursement targets within assigned areas.
    • Generate leads through field activities, referrals, and team initiatives.
    • Promote financial products such as loans, savings, micropension, and microinsurance.
    • Establish a strong community presence to sustain continuous customer acquisition.

    Relationship Management & Engagement

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with association leaders and members.
    • Address and resolve complaints to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
    • Facilitate smooth onboarding and educate customers on product usage and benefits.
    • Manage inbound leads efficiently, ensuring timely follow-up and high conversion rates.
    • Serve as the primary liaison between the organization and associations.

    Collaboration & Coordination

    • Work closely with the Team Lead to onboard markets and associations.
    • Develop and implement localized sales and engagement strategies.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team on targeted campaigns to improve customer experience and conversion rates.

    Performance Tracking & Reporting

    • Track and report on sales performance, loan disbursements, collections, and pipeline activities.
    • Monitor KPIs and provide feedback to the Team Lead.
    • Continuously improve personal performance against assigned targets.
    • Ensure timely submission of accurate reports and customer feedback.

    Job RequirementsEducation & Qualifications

    • Minimum of OND, HND, or BSc in any discipline.

    Experience

    • 1–3 years of sales experience within the financial services industry.
    • Experience in lending or collections is an added advantage.

    CompetenciesTechnical Skills

    • Strong sales and negotiation skills.
    • Data capture and reporting proficiency.
    • Ability to manage customer pipelines and records.
    • Basic understanding of lending and collections processes.

    Behavioural Skills

    • Result-driven with strong initiative and ownership.
    • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
    • Resilient with a high level of accountability.
    • Ability to work independently in a field-based role.
    • Strong team player with integrity and professionalism.
