Reel Storekeeper at Ascentech Services Limited

Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Reel Store Keeper to manage storage, handling, and inventory of reels (such as wire, cable, or hoses). 
• The ideal candidate will ensure efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of reels while maintaining proper documentation and ensuring safety and cleanliness in the reel storage area.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming reels for quality, quantity, and damage.
• Tag and label reels accurately and ensure proper storage in designated areas.
• Maintain accurate records of stock levels using inventory management systems.
• Prepare and dispatch reels as per requisition orders and delivery schedules.
• Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment to move reels safely.
• Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Ensure storage space is optimized and reels are stored in a safe, accessible manner.
• Follow proper stacking, lifting, and safety protocols to prevent damage or injury.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the reel storage area.
• Coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics departments for smooth operations.
• Report any issues related to inventory or equipment to the supervisor promptly.

Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in warehouse/storekeeping, especially handling reels or similar materials.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems (ERP/WMS) is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of workplace safety practices.
• Good communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Physically fit to lift and move heavy reels if required.
