Oversee daily radiography operations such as X-ray examinations, clean-up and maintenance of equipment.
Capture, examine and analyse results based on patients/clients X-ray images using medical imaging equipment to produce high quality images of tissue, organs, bones and vessels.
Enforce and communicate radiography health and safety regulations whilst working in the lab (especially for clients) to ensure conformity to providing quality services with minimal errors.
Prepare the patient for the procedure by giving out specific radiography instructions for the clinic.
Perform the procedure following an optimized protocol and always ensure patient protection.
Ensure exposure for team members and the patient meet ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) standards such as using radiation safety techniques to minimize errors.
Check equipment regularly for malfunctions. Provide support and reassurance to patients, taking account of their physical and psychological needs.
Job Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Radiography from a good university Any relevant certification in radiography 4+ years’ work experience as a licensed radiography technician.
Ability to build and manage relationships with others, especially clients Ability to exhibit the characteristics of a professional person at all times
