Quantity Surveyor at Meed Networks

Role Summary;

• The Person will be responsible for the cost estimation, procurement, control and contract administration of the company
• The Person Should Have the Below Capabilities / Experience

Cost Estimation & Budgeting

• Prepare detailed cost estimates based on MEP drawings and specifications.
• Develop Bills of Quantities (BoQ) with architects or clients 
• Create and manage cost plans to ensure financial feasibility throughout the project lifecycle.

Technical Proficiency

• Deep understanding of MEP systems: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection
• Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and specifications

Tendering & Procurement

• Support tendering and procurement process. 
• Assist in selecting suppliers and subcontractors for MEP materials and services.
• Bidding processes 

Cost Control & Financial Management

• Monitor project expenditures and compare them against budget forecasts. (From inception to completion)
• Generate regular cost reports for stakeholders.
• Identify and manage variations due to design changes or scope adjustments.
• Cost control and value engineering throughout project lifecycle

Contract Administration

• Review and manage contracts to ensure favourable terms.
• Support dispute resolution and ensure contractual compliance.
• Post Contract management

Communication & Coordination

• Strong liaison skills with engineers, project managers, and clients
• Ability to present financial data and reports clearly
• Negotiation skills for supplier and contractor dealings

Essential Requirements

• Company Sector: Construction, Power, ICT Consultancy.
• A minimum of 3-years work experience in relevant role
• Desired Qualification: HND/Degree in quantity surveying, or any engineering field
