    Quantity Surveyor

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs and ensure that construction projects are completed within budget while maintaining the required quality standards.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, budgeting, contract administration, procurement support, and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ), and project budgets.
    • Conduct cost analysis and monitor project expenditures.
    • Prepare tender and contract documents.
    • Evaluate contractor quotations and negotiate project costs where necessary.
    • Monitor variations and prepare valuation reports.
    • Track project costs and provide regular financial updates to management.
    • Ensure projects are completed within approved budgets.
    • Assess and certify contractors’ payment claims.
    • Collaborate with architects, engineers, builders, and project managers on project planning and execution.
    • Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
    • 3–5 years relevant experience in quantity surveying and construction cost management.
    • Strong knowledge of cost estimation, contract administration, and procurement processes.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, and relevant quantity surveying software.
    • Ability to prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and project cost reports.
    • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
    • Membership or registration with relevant professional bodies is an added advantage.
