    Quality Assurance Quality Control Engineer

    Job Summary:

    • As the Quality Assurance/Quality Control Engineer, you will collaborate with the Manager, HSEQ to inspect materials, processes, and products, ensuring strict compliance with established and evolving quality standards and regulations. Your integral role includes actively participating in the implementation of quality management actions and contributing to the development of company policies and procedures.
    • Throughout projects, you will provide crucial quality support from the planning phase to project completion. This involves conducting meticulous inspections to guarantee adherence to new and existing quality standards. Your proactive stance is pivotal in promptly identifying and resolving any issues or discrepancies that may arise, working closely with the Manager, HSEQ.
    • Additionally, you will be responsible for offering expert support and guidance on quality specifications, requirements, and resolutions for quality issues during the execution of Worksite and SITE project activities. Your dedication to maintaining comprehensive quality reporting and documentation will play a key role in upholding the organization’s commitment to excellence in the oil and gas sector.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Ensure comprehensive closure of all non-conformances and deficiencies for contracts and projects.
    • Monitor and enhance the quality of work performed by site contractors, collaborating closely with the Construction Manager.
    • Directly or indirectly oversee contractor activities, ensuring strict adherence to drawings, specifications, and contract documents through inspection and test plans (ITP).
    • Review construction contractor quality management plans at project commencement, ensuring compliance with project and regulatory quality requirements
    • Maintain meticulous QA/QC records for projects and contracts.
    • Conduct daily inspections and review test results to verify proper record-keeping by contractors as part of their contractual obligations.
    • Identify and promptly address construction-related non-conformances in accordance with project procedures, ensuring tracking and reporting.
    • Conduct random site inspections and audits for continuous improvement.
    • Develop operational safety manuals and procedures, emphasizing a total quality management system.
    • Assist in monitoring unusual occurrences, preparing action-taken reports for the Director of Medical Records committee.
    • Follow up to ensure implementation of approved Project Quality Plan and achievement of quality objectives on project activities.
    • Provide leadership, expert direction, and guidance to the team on quality matters to ensure the fulfillment of quality requirements.
    • Verify criticality ratings of equipment prior to awarding any Subcontract or Purchase Order, regularly reviewing considering vendor capabilities and performance.
    • Develop a Surveillance Program and specific assessment and verification check sheets based on equipment criticality.
      Provide status reports to hierarchy on Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) Corrective Actions, including findings from verification activities.
    • Assist the manager in interfacing with Certifying Authorities for Supplier Inspection activities and liaise with Third-Party Authorities at required witness points during project execution to meet quality requirements.
    • Ensure annual risk QA and QC assessments are conducted, reporting results to the General manager.
    • Design and develop forms and instructions for evaluating, assessing, reporting, and documenting quality standards in products or services.

    Qualification, Skills and Requirements:

    Educational level:

    • B.Sc./B.Eng/HND in Engineering.

    Other certifications:

    • Relevant professional qualifications are advantageous.

    Skills Required:

    • Proven experience in a Project Management role in manufacturing, construction, and/or oil and gas industries.
    • Strong understanding of the Quality Control Process and service center activities.
    • Ability to read and interpret Engineering/Mechanical drawings.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Previous experience working with regulatory organizations (such as TSSA and ESA) in the capacity of an owners QA/QC coordinator.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Standard Operating Procedures, QHSE Policies, and Procedures.
    • Extensive demonstrated expertise in hazard control and quality assessments in a similar environment.
      Working Experience Required:
    • Minimum 7 years in a similar role, with not less than 4 years in oil, gas, and energy HSE/QA.
