Job Summary

To assist the CSUP and/or Cargo Operator in all cargo handling, tank cleaning and ballasting operations.  Routine maintenance and repairs to cargo, ballast, and inert gas systems.

Main Responsibilities

• To be fully familiar with regulations and work procedures applicable to the assigned task. 
• To execute assigned tasks in compliance with work procedures and/or as instructed by CSUP 
• Familiar with the PTW System 
• To execute assigned tasks safely, to the best of his ability, and to report hazardous conditions without delay to CSUP or Duty Operator 
• To ensure that work such as entry into enclosed spaces and hot work is not undertaken without permission from CSUP 
• To keep all tools, equipment stores etc. related to his duties in good order and to maintain stock records and advise on stock orders as required by CSUP 
• Carry out greasing, maintenance, and other routines as instructed 
• Involved in cargo/ballast systems and equipment tests as directed by CSUP 
• Taking care of pump room bilges and cleanliness in the pump room 
• Execute daily and export fiscal ullaging/dipping 
• Execute cargo sample taking as requested by CSUP 
• Execute handling of decanted production effluent water 
• The Pump man must have very good knowledge and also ability to operate, maintain and repair liquid cargo, and ballast systems and associated equipment in addition to maintain and repair pump room equipment. 

Educational Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in any field
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Pumpman.
