Wigwe University is seeking a dynamic and experienced Public Relations Officer (PRO) to join our team. This role is crucial in shaping the university’s public image, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders, and ensuring effective communication across various platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic communication plans to enhance the university’s reputation.
Manage media relations, including press releases, interviews, and public statements.
Oversee internal and external communications, ensuring clarity and consistency.
Coordinate events, conferences, and community engagement initiatives.
Monitor public perception and advise leadership on PR strategies.
Manage the university’s social media presence and digital communications.
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in public Relations, Mass Communication, Journalism, or a related field.
At least five (5) proven experience in public relations, communications, or a similar role.
Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage crisis communication and handle sensitive issues professionally.
Proficiency in social media management and digital marketing.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
