• The Provost will provide strategic oversight for all academic programs, faculty development, accreditation processes, and institutional advancement.

Key Responsibilities
As Provost, you will:

• Provide strategic leadership for developing and implementing academic programs aligned with institutional mission
• Drive excellence in teaching, researchand clinical education
• Lead faculty recruitment, retention, mentorshipand development
• Ensure program alignment with regulatory bodies and institutional priorities
• Oversee accreditation, compliance and quality assurance processes
• Foster interdisciplinary collaboration and partnership development
• Enhance student engagement, performance, and retention
• Represent the institution professionally at external forums and build key stakeholder relationships
• Manage academic budgets and ensure resource optimization
• Champion diversity, equity, inclusion innovation across all academic units

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse/Midwife with a minimum Second Class Honours in Nursing
• Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field (from a recognized institution)
• Teaching qualification (PGDE / Diploma in Education or Nurse/Midwife Educator)
• Current Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria license
• Minimum 15 years cognate teaching/working experience, including 2 years in a managerial role
• Doctoral Degree in Nursing or related field (required)
• Strong background in academic leadership within a nursing institution
• Proven success in curriculum development, program evaluation and accreditation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and academic excellence
• Strong record of scholarly work, researchand professional contributions
• Ability to lead change, drive strategyand manage complex academic environments
