    Project Technical Assistant (Admin & Comms) - PLRCAP

    The Role

    • The PLRCAP Project Technical Assistant (Admin & Comms) provides day-to-day administrative, operational, while also supporting publicity and communications functions.
    • Success in this role means ensuring the smooth delivery of programme activities, maintaining efficient systems and processes, and supporting the visibility and engagement of PLRCAP’s learning, partnership, and capacity-strengthening initiatives. 
    • The position is based in Abuja, Nigeria, with up to 15% travel within the country. 
    • This is a national contract for six months and reports to the PLRCAP Project Manager.
    • This position is open exclusively to Nigerian citizens holding a valid Nigerian passport.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to the PLRCAP team while ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures. 
    • Coordinate logistics, procurement, scheduling, travel arrangements, meetings, documentation, and other administrative requirements for programme activities. 
    • Support the management and maintenance of the NGO Support Hub, Maintain project plans, calendars, action trackers, SharePoint records, and programme documentation to support effective project delivery. 
    • Support the Hub Administrator in content management and day-to-day platform administration. 
    • Support the creating editing, and publishing engaging content across digital and social media channels, including visual and multimedia content. 
    • Promote learning resources, programme achievements, events, and success stories to strengthen outreach and stakeholder engagement. 
    • Monitor social media performance, audience engagement, and user feedback. Collaborate with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders to support learning, knowledge sharing, and the successful implementation of PLRCAP activities.

    Requirements
    To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills:

    • University degree in Management, Social Sciences, Communications, or another relevant field. 
    • Minimum 1-2 years of professional experience in administration, operations, communications, or project support and procurement, particularly within an international NGO or humanitarian/development organisation, is required. Experience within NORCAP/NRC is an added advantage.
    • Experience managing social media platforms, developing digital content, and using content management systems and analytics tools is an advantage
    • Strong organisational, administrative, communication, and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively. 
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with content creation and design tools such as Canva or Adobe Photoshop; experience with basic image or video editing is an advantage. 
    • Experience in localisation, humanitarian action, crisis recovery, community resilience, or civil society capacity strengthening is highly desirable. Knowledge of local languages is an advantage. Please read the attached terms of reference for more details before applying.
