Responsibilities
- The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of large-scale civil infrastructure projects — particularly flyovers/bridges — while ensuring efficiency, cost control, safety, and quality compliance. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards, while providing strong leadership and direction to multidisciplinary teams.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, motivate, and develop project teams to achieve project goals.
- Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, problem-solving, and accountability.
Project Planning & Execution
- Develop and monitor project plans, schedules, and budgets for flyover and related infrastructure projects.
- Ensure timely execution of all project phases in line with contractual obligations.
- Track project progress, costs, and performance metrics.
- Identify and mitigate project risks.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Implement and maintain the project’s HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) Plan.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations, codes, and safety standards.
- Conduct inspections and tests to verify adherence to specifications.
- Enforce project quality management standards across all deliverables.
Financial & Commercial Performance
- Monitor financial performance, including actual vs. projected profit.
- Support accurate project financial reporting.
- Engage and assess subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring cost-effectiveness and reliability.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the primary contact with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders, including project communities.
- Represent the company in all contract-related matters.
Design & Technical Oversight
- Oversee design and engineering implementation during project execution.
- Ensure accurate interpretation of construction drawings and technical specifications.
- Drive innovation and efficiency in flyover/bridge design and delivery.
Other
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Regional Technical Manager
Desired Skills and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience, with at least 3 years in a similar role within a multinational or large-scale organization.
Required: Proven hands-on experience in the planning, execution, and delivery of major civil infrastructure projects, specifically flyover/bridge construction
Technical & Professional Skills
- Strong project management and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in construction design software (e.g., AutoCAD) and MS Office Suite.
- In-depth knowledge of project lifecycle, engineering design, quality management, and cost estimation.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and manage risk effectively.
- Strong understanding of construction materials, electrical and mechanical systems
