    Project Manager

    Job Summary:

    The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects that align with the organization’s mission and donor requirements. The ideal candidate will ensure that all project activities are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and with measurable impact. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills, especially in a nonprofit or humanitarian context.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Project Planning & Execution
    • Lead the design, planning, and implementation of assigned projects.
    • Develop project work plans, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
    • Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and donor expectations.
    • Team & Stakeholder Coordination
    • Coordinate and supervise project teams, including field officers and volunteers.
    • Serve as the primary liaison between the organization, donors, government agencies, and community partners.
    • Organize regular check-ins, team meetings, and stakeholder briefings.
    • Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
    • Track project progress and ensure timely completion of tasks and milestones.
    • Collect and analyze data to measure outcomes and impact.
    • Prepare and submit high-quality narrative and financial reports to donors and management.
    • Budget & Resource Management
    • Monitor project expenditures and ensure alignment with approved budgets.
    • Work with finance and procurement teams to ensure timely disbursement of funds and procurement of resources.
    • Risk Management & Compliance
    • Identify and mitigate potential project risks and challenges.
    • Ensure all project activities are compliant with organizational policies, local regulations, and donor guidelines.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in project management, International Development, Social Sciences, or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
    • 3–5 years of experience in managing development or humanitarian projects, preferably in the NGO sector.
    • Strong understanding of project lifecycle, donor reporting standards (e.g. USAID, EU, DFID), and M&E practices.
    • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Trello, Asana).
    • Ability to work independently and in multi-cultural teams.

    Preferred Attributes:

    • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, PMD Pro).
    • Experience working in rural or under-resourced communities.
