    Project Manager

    Location: Benin City, Edo

    Job Description

    • We are seeking a Project Manager to manage its project in Edo State (automation of consumption tax collection).
    • The Project Manager shall be an experienced professional who has successfully managed similar IT projects.
    • The person will be involved in many aspects of the project(s) from business analysis, supervision of solution design, architecture and implementation whilst driving project management until completion to successful delivery and post-delivery support.
    • In addition, the Project Manager will handle the relationship between Asseco and Edo State Government (including Edo State Internal Revenue Service) to strengthen the partnership between Edo State and Asseco.
    • We are looking for a hard-working, detail oriented professional with strong leadership and team management skills.

    Responsibilities

    • Determine human, material and other resources necessary to execute the project.
    • Negotiate with project stakeholders or suppliers to obtain resources or materials.
    • Prepare the project plan, with all dependencies.
    • Establish and execute the project charter including project communication plan and risk plan.
    • Coordinate recruitment or selection of project personnel.
    • Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information.
    • Execute the project according to its plan. Initiate, review, or approve modifications to the project plan.
    • Schedule and facilitate regular and ad-hoc project meetings and ensure that all relevant participants attend.
    • Identify need for initial or supplemental project resources.
    • Prepare and manage project budget(s).
    • Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.
    • Prepare and get approval for change requests.
    • Monitor and track project milestones and deliverables.
    • Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel.
    • Assign duties, responsibilities, and spans of authority to other project personnel.
    • Perform risk assessments to develop response strategies.
    • Submit project deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
    • Monitor the performance of project team members, providing and documenting performance feedback.
    • Assess current or future customer needs and priorities through communicating directly with customers, conducting surveys, or other methods.
    • Responsible for business development in Edo State.
    • Escalate issues in a timely and efficient manner, always bringing solutions to solve problems.
    • Managing own diary in order to organize and prioritize monthly, weekly and daily goals.
    • Actively contributing to regular and ad hoc meetings and updating Executive Management
    • Acting as a leader, manager and mentor to company personnel having less seniority.

    Requirements

    • University Degree or equivalent.
    • 5+ years experience as an IT project manager or alternatively a 5+ years successful work experience as business analyst, presales or sales professional in an IT company, with a proven ability to generate business and successfully deliver IT projects.
    • Project Management certifications (PMP, Prince 2 or other).
    • Candidates should have a good understanding of the software industry and technology trends.
    • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, particularly Project, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint is a requirement.
    • Experience of other IT systems (such as ERP, CRM or others) is a plus
    • Exceptional time management and organizational skills, resource management, team performance management.
    • Good knowledge of public administration (central and local government) processes and developments (including e-government), needs and opportunities.
    • Ability to take initiative and take responsibility.
    • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent demonstration and presentation skills.
    • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to solve problems, autonomy and ability to think out-of-the-box.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills, showcasing initiative and responsibility.
    • Ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment.
    • Ability to work within local and international (project/virtual) teams.
    • Ability to work under pressure, to multitask, to focus and to deliver results.
    • Good communication skills and outstanding team spirit.
    • Ability to speak foreign languages is a plus.

    Salary
    N2,400,000 / Annum plus commission.
