Qualifications
A first degree or equivalent in accounting, finance, economics or a business-related discipline.
Qualified (or student member at the final stage of qualification) with a recognised professional accounting body (ICAN, ACCA, CIMA).
Minimum of 46 years relevant experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and accounting system operations.
Demonstrated experience using Sage or other ERP systems for transaction posting, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
Strong technical knowledge and practical application of relevant IFRS principles. (International Public Sector Accounting Standards -IPSAS, will be preferable)
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite particularly Excel.
Specific knowledge of key processes involved in any of the following:
Accounts receivable management and revenue recognition
Accounts payable management and cost accounting
Treasury operations and bank reconciliations
Accounts preparation and consolidation
General ledger control and system postings
Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to other finance staff.
