Qualifications

• A first degree or equivalent in accounting, finance, economics or a business-related discipline.
• Qualified (or student member at the final stage of qualification) with a recognised professional accounting body (ICAN, ACCA, CIMA).
• Minimum of 46 years relevant experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and accounting system operations.
• Demonstrated experience using Sage or other ERP systems for transaction posting, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
• Strong technical knowledge and practical application of relevant IFRS principles. (International Public Sector Accounting Standards -IPSAS, will be preferable)
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite particularly Excel.
• Specific knowledge of key processes involved in any of the following:
• Accounts receivable management and revenue recognition
• Accounts payable management and cost accounting
• Treasury operations and bank reconciliations 
• Accounts preparation and consolidation
• General ledger control and system postings
• Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to other finance staff.
