    Project Accountant

    Job Description

    • Ensuring correct recording and follow-up of all transactions related to the major projects
    • Register and follow-up all Purchase Requisitions, Advance Payments, Mobilization Payments, Purchase Orders, Part-payments on certification, Completed Orders with Goods Received Note or Approved Certification, Invoices and payment of all contractors with the correct recording in the accounting records. This would require monitoring the project related purchase order from raising PR up to receiving at the site and utilization of the same.
    • Quick identification & investigation of any cost variances to ensure any potential under or over-budget expenditure is raised with the Project Leader
    • Compare/Analyze the actual project costs against the approved budget,
    • Make sure that Project codes are available on AX for each and every projects going on.
    • Prepare & maintain project-related records (Business Case, Capex Approval Form, Contracts etc.)
    • Monitor the project related purchase order from raising PR up to receiving at the site and utilization of the same.
    • Monitor and review to make sure that the each cost charged to the projects are complete, accurate & relevant on daily, weekly & monthly basis.
    • Check the Man days, Machine hours, Material consumption on CanePro records are appropriately charged to the project
    • Check the inventory items issued for projects are accounted under the relevant projects and match with CanePro
    • Have separate files for each project costs supporting documents (Compile information for internal and external auditors)
    • Provide up to date cost information to the project managers/management on request.
    • Close out project accounts upon project completion and capitalize on time
    • Ability to produce revised forecasts when there is changes to the original budget scope which requires revised forecasts and management approval
    • Any other duty as may be assigned by management

    Requirements

    • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree qualifications with 4 - 7 years relevant work experience.
