Program Officer (Volunteer) at Light Foundation Center for Peaceful Coexistence and Development

Reports to: Executive Director / Program Manager

Role Purpose:

The Program Officer will support the design, coordination, and implementation of LiFon’s education, health, and community development programs in target communities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to program planning, budgeting, and coordination.
• Support field monitoring, data collection, and reporting.
• Facilitate community mobilization and stakeholder engagement.
• Draft activity and progress reports, including success stories.
• Assist in proposal writing and development of new initiatives.
• Represent LiFon at community and stakeholder forums when required.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in Social Sciences, Education, Public Health, or related field.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work effectively with community members and partners.
• Fluency in English and Hausa (Kanuri language skills are an added advantage).
• Experience working or volunteering in humanitarian or community-based organizations is desirable.
