    Production Officer

    Position Summary:

    The Production Officer will lead manufacturing of Water-based Personal Lubricants [for Condoms], Hand Sanitizers, & Methylated Spirits)

    Specific Responsibilities

    • Take the lead in the production of the organization’ products – including water-based personal lubricants, methylated spirits, and hand sanitizers (gel and spray)
    • Work with the business development manager to align production with demands.
    • Ensure that all SOP as regard the production and quality control of the products are followed without deviation.
    • Take charge of in-process quality control of the products.
    • Keep production records in accordance with established rules and regulations.
    • Ensure water quality as per SoP before use in production.
    • Support the calibration and reconfiguration of equipment as per SOP 
    • Perform QC testing of batches and work with vendors of raw materials to qualify alternate raw materials.
    • Perform moderately complex calculations and implement GMP practices to daily assign duties.
    • Identify production quality issues and generate deviation or non-conforming reports in order to maintain a GMP compliant work environment.
    • Ensure chemical suitability for use by carrying out chemical synthesis, purification, and performing purity testing.
    • Perform QA, QC analysis and highly structure proprietary experimental sequences to optimize yield and quality of select industrial specialties.
    • Check specification of chemicals by performing titration to measure the percent alkalinity or acidity and percent available chlorine.
    • Provide oversight in the day-to-day running of the factory.
    • Perform other assigned tasks as may be warranted from time to time.

    Job Requirements

    • Minimum of 2+years of experience in production capacity - for personal condom lubricants, hand sanitizers, methylated spirits, and related products
    • Bachelor's Degree in industrial chemistry, chemical engineering, industrial microbiology, and other relevant fields.
    • Working understanding of manufacturing and controls, good manufacturing practice, quality control procedures, and other relevant requirements etc.
    • Experience ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Experience handling equipment for the production of water-based personal lubricants [for condoms], hand sanitizers, and methylated spirits.
