Job Summary

The Procurement & Supply Chain Officer is responsible for strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, procurement planning, contract administration, inventory optimization, logistics coordination, and supply chain continuity to support uninterrupted factory operations. The role ensures cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement plans aligned with operational requirements.
• Source, evaluate, and manage suppliers, contractors, and service providers.
• Conduct supplier due diligence, performance evaluations, and contract management.
• Process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and procurement documentation.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, service levels, and commercial terms.
• Coordinate inventory replenishment and stock optimization activities.
• Monitor supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure timely delivery of raw materials, consumables, packaging materials, spare parts, and operational supplies.
• Maintain procurement records and support internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and ethical sourcing standards.

Requirements

• Strong negotiation, analytical, and supplier management skills.
• Knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, and supply chain operations.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and procurement software.
• Strong organizational and reporting capabilities.

Qualifications

• BSc/HND in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3–5 years\' experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics, or inventory management, preferably within manufacturing, food processing, FMCG, or industrial operations.
• Membership of relevant professional bodies such as the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) or equivalent will be an added advantage.
