Procurement Operations Analyst at Rotation and Precision Machines Limited

The Role

The candidate will treat all RFQ’s requests and source for suppliers and vendors for the company. You will be liaising with internal departments and suppliers, analyzing and comparing product samples, and negotiating procurement contracts.

Job Description

• Negotiating with Suppliers (local & International, direct and indirect purchases) in order to obtain the best value for money and attract cost savings.
• Raising requisitions for all purchases in the company to appropriate cost centres
• Agreeing and maintaining SLAs with the sales team for turn-around time for responding to requests.
• Making recommendations with respect to alternate procurement and ensuring  Accuracy of needs, amounts and right cost centres.
• Ensuring that all requests are attended to within 48hours
• Ensure tracking all requests via a CRM system to ensure that no request gets forgotten
• Constantly tracking and ranking all suppliers on pricing, quality, and speed of response to help guide supplier choice.
• Ensuring that the companies supplier database is kept secure at all times
• Stay informed on the latest industry techniques and methods
• Develop customer satisfaction goals and coordinate with the team to meet daily goals.        
• Strategic Sourcing and Management of new and existing vendors to achieve maximum savings.
• Obtaining quotes from different suppliers.
• Assessing quotes and compiling a detailed assessment of cost breakdowns.

Job Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in Administration or any related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ work experience
• Understand the business of procurement
• Good understanding of margins when pricing
• Must have very good analytical skills (spreadsheet ninja)
• Must have very good people management and issue resolution skills
• Must be focused on order fulfilment and not just on placing orders with suppliers
• Proven experience in Customer service
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• A thorough understanding of sourcing methodologies.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Sound time-management and organizational skills.
