Job Summary

Responsible for purchases (local & foreign), deal with Vendor negotiations and analyze trends in Vendor pricing and procurement activities to determine re-order level, supply lag and ensure value for money.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews and ensure compliance with contracts.
• Source, negotiate, and purchase materials, goods, and services.
• Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions.
• Ensure procurement of goods at the most competitive price and value for money.
• Assist in the management of procurement budgets and ensure all purchases fall within budget constraints.
• Analyze spending patterns and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Monitor inventory level to ensure compliance with established re-order level and participate in regular stock count.
• Assist in the reconciliation of Vendors accounts.
• Implement procurement strategies to drive cost efficiency.
• Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, such as supply chain disruptions or price fluctuations.
• Ensure the quality and timely delivery of goods and services.
• Implement contingency plans in case of supply shortages or vendor issues.
• Other assigned tasks

Requirements

Required Educational Qualifications

• Minimum of Higher National Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Supply chain, Purchasing & supply or any relevant course. 
• Proven minimum of 4 years relevant experience. 
• Relevant professional certification and membership of relevant professional association.
• Proven experience in supply chain with multi-industry experience.
• Local & foreign procurements
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office package.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
• High level of integrity.
