Procurement Manager at Vendease

You will be responsible for all inventory purchases in Vendease. You will work with the commercial, planning and logistics teams to ensure that the products we stock are available in the warehouses. You will also manage the market ops team and ensure products are sourced within SLA timelines for Just In Time Purchases. You will keep purchasing records and be in charge of the Procure to Pay Cycle.

Responsibilities

• Execute Inventory Buying Plans
• Ensure speedy sourcing of ad hoc purchases
• Work with the commercial team to ensure cost savings on all purchases
• Meet all SLAs
• Analyze opportunities, ideate and execute the strategy to ensure the team meets set targets.
• Monitor supplier satisfaction and develop strategic initiatives that improve supplier performance.
• Consistently hit sales targets and demonstrate a track record of surpassing sales goals
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the procurement team while fostering a culture of accountability, professional development, high performance, and ethical behaviour
• Train and coach team members
• Ensure that company policies and procedures are refined, understood, documented and followed by department staff
• Develop and implement metrics and goals for individual staff members to ensure departmental and company objectives are met.
• Collaborate effectively with key stakeholders such as Finance, Pricing, other Commercial Teams, Logistics etc. to achieve revenue growth goals

Requirements

• Successful experience in a managerial role with a team of not less than 10. 
• 6+ years in supply and purchasing-related roles
• Inspirational Leadership style and hands-on approach
• Demonstrated ability in all aspects of leadership, including motivation.
• Experience in using data analytics to monitor and evaluate sales teams against stated expectations, in addition to aligning and changing behaviour with performance expectations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and public speaking skills
