    Procurement Lead

    Job Summary

    • The Procurement Lead will oversee the company’s sourcing capabilities and supply chain. He/she is responsible for finding and evaluating suppliers, products and services, negotiating contracts and acquiring the most cost-efficient deals without compromising on quality.
    • He/she should be a supply chain and logistics expert who will specialize in implementing cost-effective purchases of all goods and services, as required by the company.
    • Ensuring quality control and adhering to the company’s policies and procedures on supply chain management will be some of the main priorities when carrying out this role.

    Job Description

    • Liaising with key company employees to determine their product and service needs and ensure clarity of specifications and expectations of the company.
    • Performing all procurement activities including pre-qualification, negotiating supplier agreements, preparation of contracts and tender management.
    • Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships.
    • Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms.
    • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
    • Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients.
    • Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies.
    • Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements.
    • Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
    • Identifying areas for improvement to continually drive performance and business results.
    • Managing overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of procurement for the organization.
    • Developing strong relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to improve business.
    • Creating policies and procedures for risk management and mitigation.

    Requirements & Skills

    • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration with 5-7 years experience
    • Proven experience managing supply chain operations in the oil & gas space.
    • Experience using supply chain management software and tools, including Odoo, Oracle, SAP Ariba, NETSUITE, e.t.c.
    • In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
    • Management and leadership skills.
    • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
    • Highly organized and detail oriented.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market.
    • Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers.
    • Experience in collecting and analyzing data.
    • High-level of attention to detail
    • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to foster strong supplier relationships.
