    Are you a supply chain professional in the renewable field looking to take your career in a new direction? Do you want to be part of the pioneers in our expansion? We are looking for a competent Procurement and Logistics coordinator to oversee and facilitate the supply chain operations of our company and manage the company’s supply of products and services. Your responsibilities include strategizing to find cost-effective deals and suppliers. You will be the one to coordinate personnel and processes to achieve the effective distribution of goods.

    A logistic procurement officer does more than sit behind a desk. Each day is usually full of activity as s/he identifies and evaluates suppliers, arranges for transportation of purchased goods, identifies, and develops strategies for addressing logistical barriers, monitors use of materials and resources, and ensures quality record keeping.

    Ultimately your goal is to evaluate suppliers, coordinate purchases, identify barriers and monitor use of purchased materials and goods.

    Responsibilities:

    • Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
    • Manage the entire process in the planning of commodities procurement and supply chain activities, inventory control, logistics and distribution, customs clearance, ensuring effectively-functioning processes to avoid costly delays and lost opportunities.
    • Ensure effective lines of communication to ensure timely delivery of commodities using the most appropriate procurement procedures.
    • Be responsible for introducing process improvements in the supply chain and identify new vendors/suppliers without jeopardizing quality and service delivery.
    • Establish and implement a monitoring system that ensures that the prices paid for commodities are in line with local market prices.
    • Develop and manage the rosters of suppliers, elaborate supplier selection, and evaluation, quality, and performance measurement mechanisms
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual procurement and logistics plans and progress reports as required
    • Prepare service delivery contracts, leases, and purchase orders for all acquisition needs.
    • Maintain procurement and logistics files including all relevant documentation and vendor tracking system.
    • Manage vendor contracts and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure completeness of deliverables outlined in the contract this includes ensuring that all vendor complaints and concerns are addressed promptly to ensure that the project continues to always receive uninterrupted services.
    • Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services
    • Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle
    • Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
    • Arrange warehouse, catalog goods, plan routes and process shipments
    • Resolve any arising problems or complaints
    • Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce
    • Meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets
    • Comply with laws, regulations, and ISO requirements
    • Supervise orders and arrange stocking of raw materials and equipment to ensure they meet needs
    • Communicate with suppliers, retailers, customers etc. to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction
    • Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements
    • Keep logs and records of warehouse stock, executed orders etc.

    Required Qualifications and Experience

    • BA/BSC in Business Administration, Management, Logistics, Procurement, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with 3 to 4 years of relevant professional experience.
    • Strong technical experience in procurement and logistics
    • Diverse experience working on complex projects and emergencies, specifically meeting
    • timelines and milestones.
    • Knowledge of asset management processes and procedures.
    • Integrity and transparency: maintain high ethical standards and acts in a manner consistent
    • with organizational principles/rules and standards of conduct.
    • Professionalism: demonstrates ability to work in a composed, competent, and committed
    • manner and exercises careful judgment in meeting day-to-day challenges.
    • Produces and delivers quality results in a service-oriented and timely manner
    • Takes ownership for achieving the Organization’s priorities and assumes responsibility for own action and delegated work.
