Process Safety Officer / Engineer at BSS Consulting

Responsibilities

• Champion the culture of Process Safety excellence in the Organization.
• Manage and conduct the HAZOP program, as well as track and assist with any resulting recommendations.
• Supervise the application of Process Safety elements as per project development stages.
• Perform risk analysis and coach others on the use of risk analysis techniques.
• Provide project support, including support for process engineering to the full development of process packages, application of modeling software, and design of relief devices.
• Collaborate with teams to discover and implement long-term process improvement efforts.
• Perform audit of process safety management systems and execute risk mitigation corrective actions.
• Conduct Personal Protective Equipment Assessments for departments.

Requirements

• Candidates must possess a B.Sc or HND in any Engineering or Science related courses or equivalent and must be a professional graduate of ISPON (GHSE or Level 3) or NEBOSH.
• Candidates should possess 3 - 5 years work experience.
• Strong background in QRA, HAZID and HAZOP.

Skills & Competencies:

• Effective at time management and prioritizing tasks to achieve deadlines;
• Must be a certified Safety professional;
• Must be experienced in high rise building maintenance;
• Must be a holder of degree in any Environmental and Safety Sciences;
• Good understanding of hazard identification and risk assessment studies.
• Ability to quickly assess EHS risks and consider business implications.
