Principal at Howbury School Lagos

• We are seeking an exceptional educational leader with a proven record of school leadership to serve as our Executive Principal. This role requires a strategic thinker, effective communicator, and team builder who will be responsible for the overall academic and operational success of the school 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide strategic direction and operational leadership to the school 
• Lead and develop the senior leadership team to drive school-wide excellence.
• Oversee curriculum implementation, ensuring it aligns with national and international standards.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and high-performing school culture.
• Monitor and improve academic outcomes and student progress.
• Promote professional development and performance management of staff.
• Maintain strong relationships with parents, regulatory bodies, and the broader school community.
• Oversee the school's financial management, facilities, and regulatory compliance.
• Represent the school at events, conferences, and community engagements.

QUALIFICATION 

• A B.sc degree and Master's degree in Education or related field (Ph.D. is an advantage).
• Minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership position within a reputable school.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a multi-campus or complex educational setting.
• Strong understanding of curriculum design, assessment, and school improvement strategies.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and decision-making skills.
• Experience working with both Nigerian and international curricula (e.g. British Curriculum, IGCSE).
• Strong financial acumen and operational oversight skills.
