 Key Responsibilities:

• Create daily lesson plans and learning activities for students based on national and international school standards in physical health education.
• Deliver high-quality, engaging instruction in the form of discussion, direct teaching, demonstrations, and independent practice using a variety of proven methods.
• Ensure that students are physically active within the PHE class and teach skills and activities that transfer into physical activity outside of physical education class.
• Evaluate student performance on tasks established by the standards using different methods such as observation, performance-based tasks, or other standard test practices.
• Analysing the needs, strengths, and weaknesses of students and structuring lessons and assessments around them.
• Adjusting teaching methods to suit different groups of learners.
• Creating engaging, stimulating lesson plans and asking frequent questions to make sure students are on track.
• Reporting any progress issues to the head of the department, as well as the parents.
• Attending meetings, training sessions, workshops, conferences, and other continuing education initiatives.
• Stay up-to-date with developments in physical education and incorporate new ideas into lessons

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Kinetics or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of prior teaching experience in primary education.
• Ability to tutor students with different sporting activities.
• Relevant teaching certification may be required.
• Able to use an interactive or smart board.
• 21st-century teaching skills.
• TRCN certification is an added advantage
