    Powerplant Manager

    Job Summary

    • A Power plant manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of power plants.
    • He/She ensures that their facility is running smoothly and efficiently, and ensure that all safety protocols are being followed at all times.

    Job Description

    • Coordinating with other company managers to ensure that their facilities are running efficiently
    • Monitoring energy prices on the spot market to ensure that the plant is selling at a profit
    • Developing a plan for emergency response in case of equipment failure or other emergencies
    • Creating a detailed list of goals and objectives for the department, which may include increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and improving employee morale
    • Training new employees in proper safety procedures and emergency response plans
    • Maintaining equipment to ensure that it is operating properly and efficiently
    • Identifying opportunities to reduce energy consumption through improved efficiency measures or by switching to alternative energy sources such as wind, solar, or hydroelectric power
    • Overseeing the daily operations of the plant, including maintenance, repair, hiring, and firing decisions
    • Providing leadership and management to the facility’s staff to ensure that operations run smoothly and efficiently.

    Job Requirements

    • Graduate in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
    • 8 - 10 years’ experience in similar fields
    • Knowledge of Jenbacher Gas Engine + Cummins DG engine operation & Maintenance
    • In-depth knowledge of power plant systems, including boilers, turbines, generators, and controls
    • Working knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
    • Excellent project management skills
    • Effective communication (both written and oral) skill
    • Strong organization and management skill
    • Proven leadership and supervisory experience
    • Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
