    Portfolio Manager

    Key Responsibilities

    • Construct, manage, and rebalance diversified client portfolios in line with agreed mandates and investment policy statements.
    • Develop and implement asset allocation strategies across equities, fixed income, forex, and alternative assets.
    • Monitor portfolio performance against benchmarks and deliver consistent risk - adjusted returns.
    • Conduct ongoing macro and market analysis to inform portfolio positioning and tactical allocation decisions.
    • Stay current with global and local market developments, regulatory changes, and economic data relevant to portfolio positioning.
    • Serve as a trusted investment advisor to institutional and high - net - worth clients.
    • Prepare and deliver compelling investment performance reports and portfolio reviews.
    • Communicate investment strategy, rationale, and outlook clearly to both sophisticated and non-specialist audiences.
    • Identify, assess, and manage portfolio risks including market, liquidity, and concentration risk.
    • Ensure portfolios remain compliant with regulatory requirements and internal investment guidelines at all times.
    • Escalate and document material risk events in accordance with firm policy.
    • Collaborate with operations, compliance, and client services to ensure seamless delivery.
    • Contribute to the firm’s intellectual capital through market commentary, research notes, and investment perspectives.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of Second Class Upper Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline
    • 7 – 12 years of progressive experience in investment management, asset management, or a related financial services role.
    • CFA Chartered or actively pursuing CFA designation.
    • Postgraduate qualification (MBA, MSc Finance) is an added advantage.
    • Demonstrable track record of managing portfolios and delivering measurable investment performance.
    • Strong knowledge of the Nigerian capital markets and regulatory environment (SEC, NGX).
    • Exposure to global markets and cross - asset investment strategies is a strong advantage.
