Physics Teacher at Ascentech Services

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Secondary School Physics Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate should be passionate about teaching Physics, skilled in delivering lessons using both the Cambridge and Nigerian curricula, and committed to helping students develop strong scientific and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Physics lessons in line with the Cambridge and Nigerian curricula
• Prepare students effectively for internal assessments and external examinations (WAEC, IGCSE, etc.)
• Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, and instructional materials
• Conduct practical laboratory sessions and ensure laboratory safety
• Assess, record, and report students’ academic progress
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a conducive learning environment
• Participate in departmental meetings, trainings, and school activities
• Support students’ academic and moral development

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of B.Ed in Physics OR B.Sc in Physics / Physics Education with PGDE (or in view)
• TRCN registration and/or M.Ed / M.Sc qualification will be an added advantage
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience at the secondary school level
• Proven experience teaching both Cambridge and Nigerian curricula
• Strong knowledge of Physics concepts and practical applications
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills

Remuneration

• Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications
• Minimum monthly salary starts from ₦120,000
