Pharmacist at Cedarcrest Hospitals

This is a full-time on-site role for a Pharmacist at Cedarcrest Hospitals in Lagos State, Nigeria. The Pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing pharmaceutical care to patients, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Daily tasks include reviewing prescriptions for accuracy, counseling patients on medication usage, managing pharmacy operations, maintaining medication inventory, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The role also involves participation in clinical rounds, conducting drug utilization reviews, and promoting rational drug therapy.

Qualifications

• Pharmacology, Medication Dispensing, and Drug Therapy Management skills
• Ability to review prescriptions for accuracy and recommend pharmaceutical alternatives
• Patient Counseling and Education skills
• Experience in managing pharmacy operations and maintaining medication inventory
• Understanding of regulatory standards and compliance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with other healthcare professionals
• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field; a valid license to practice as a Pharmacist in Nigeria
• Previous experience in hospital pharmacy settings is preferred
