    People and Culture Manager

    Location: Sabo - Yaba, Lagos

    Job Description

    • We are looking for a creative, flexible, detail oriented and a strategic thinker to join our team as the People and Culture Manager
    • The People and Culture Manager report directly to the CEO and is responsible for partnering with the business to design, develop and implement strategies that will attract, engage, and develop employees and build upon a high-performance culture.
    • The People and Culture will be responsible for all human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, maintaining employee personnel files, policy management, and training and development, and administrative functions as payroll supervision, benefits administration and event planning and Management.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Nurturing a positive working environment and define employee relations practices necessary to promote a high level of employee morale, engagement, motivation and retention
    • Understanding of general people policies and supporting business objectives to achieve goals
    • Managing recruitment functions including review of job descriptions, creating and posting jobs, screening resumes, conducting pre-Interviews
    • Partner with management to drive a positive employee relations strategy
    • Educating managers on acceptable workplace behaviors.
    • Provide leadership and supervise the performance of the People by setting clear work objectives, assessing performance, providing feedback, and development and coaching to build employee capability.
    • Creating and revising job descriptions
    • Managing staff verification & onboarding processes, as well as exits upon resignation or termination of employees;
    • Optimizing and Automating onboarding processes
    • Maintaining paper and online records and defining procedures for their retention, protection, retrieval, transfer and disposal;
    • Arranging meetings and conference calls (including coordinating all meeting logistics, developing agendas and meeting materials, etc.);
    • Liaising withtax consultants on the company financials and remittances
    • Monthly download of bank statement and uploading on drive
    • Providing other daily support to staff & management as needed.
    • Coordination, procurement and distribution of Christmas gifts and cards for clients and partners
    • Plan the overall program and monitor the progress
    • Develop and manage the program’s budget
    • Manage risks and issues and take corrective measurements
    • Coordinate the program and their interdependencies
    • Assist the CEO with her daily schedule and duties, to include managing her calendar, commitments, and travel arrangements
    • Planning itineraries, developing agendas and meeting materials, reporting expenses, etc.).
    • Responsible for organising internal and external meetings on behalf of the CEO ensuring all necessary requirements are made e.g, meeting venue, equipment, presentations, prepare agendas.
    • Provide executive and administrative support to the CEO.
    • Provide event management support as requested.
    • Monitor and respond to incoming communications (including complaints) to the CEO's office including phone calls, emails and walk-ins, ensuring correct department distribution.
    • Other projects/duties as assigned for the overall benefit of the Organisation.

    Requirements

    • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree
    • 3+ years of solid Human resources and administrative experience in an office setting;
    • Prior experience working in a start-up business environment (preferred);
    • Excellent verbal and written communications, networking, and presentation skills (in English);
    • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail;
    • Demonstrated ability to manage complex tasks and prioritise competing demands in order to meet deadlines;
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

    • Results oriented;
    • Previous Experience with an agency is an added advantage.
