About the job

• Performs preventive patrol in assigned areas, both in vehicle and on foot. Enforces state and federal laws and City ordinances.
• Operate motor vehicle while on patrol in a safe manner for extended periods of time in all environmental conditions and on occasion operate the vehicle at high speeds and in congested traffic situations.
• Continually observes for and responds to criminal activity, safety hazards, traffic violations, persons needing assistance, etc.
• Conducts interviews and interrogations of victims, witnesses, suspects and offenders. Identifies, collects, processes, packages and logs physical evidence
• Becomes familiar with patrol districts, geographical locations, known offenders, neighborhood routines, potential problem areas.
• Conducts security inspections and surveys buildings and businesses; handles complaints made by the public; conducts preliminary and follow-up investigations.
• Patrolling assigned areas on foot or horseback or by car or bicycle, and being on the lookout for suspicious or illegal activity.
• Performing on-the-scene investigations.
• Helping people in trouble and rendering other public services.
• Issuing citations, serving arrest warrants, and arresting people on misdemeanors and felony charges.
• Pursuing fleeing suspects on foot.
• Handcuffing and searching arrested persons and reading them their rights.
• Immediately responding to reports of emergencies or possible crimes and offering the necessary assistance.
• Regulating traffic, enforcing traffic laws, investigating traffic accidents, and assisting motorists in need.
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with community members.
• Completing all necessary paperwork and providing testimonies in court.

Requirements

• BSC/HND in any field with mandatory 3 years experience in the security industry.
• Prospective Candidate MUST be a graduate with ability to Ride Motorcycle, previous & relevant job are required.
