Overhead Crane Operator at Ascentech Services Limited

Job Summary:

• We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Overhead Crane Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will operate overhead cranes to move and position materials and equipment safely and efficiently in our facility. As a Crane Operator, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting our operations and ensuring a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate overhead cranes to lift, move, position, and unload materials and products.
• Perform pre-operational checks on cranes and safety equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Follow safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
• Read and interpret load charts and crane data to determine proper loading capacities and operating conditions.
• Communicate effectively with team members and ground personnel using hand signals and radio.
• Maintain operational logs and report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs of the cranes promptly.
• Ensure materials are properly secured and that they meet safety standards during lifting and movement.
• Participate in safety training and ongoing development to stay current with best practices and regulations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma/OND or equivalent.
• Valid overhead crane operator certification (e.g., NCCCO, CIC, or equivalent).
• Proven experience operating overhead cranes in an industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols related to crane operation.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, load charts, and operational manuals.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically capable of performing the duties of the position, including standing for long periods and working in various weather conditions.
