Operations Manager at Zap Africa

About the job:

This is a full-time role for an Operations Manager at Zap Africa. The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, managing staff and resources, optimizing processes, and ensuring operational efficiency. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop and implement strategies, monitor and analyze performance metrics, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

What you’ll do:

• Develop relevant policies (procurement, vendor management, facility management, logistics, general office administration) and standard of operations for the business
• Implement quality management and regulatory compliance strategies
• Deliver operational excellence by overseeing daily operations to support the business
• Liaise with senior management across the company to make strategic business decisions that will further improve operational activities and impact strategic goals.
• Oversee operational processes and performance, recommend solutions for improvement.
• Implement and monitor operational systems and processes that provide visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles for key initiatives.
• Nurture and maintain relationships with all leaders, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals of Zap
• Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for day-to-day performance to ensure efficient and timely completion of operational tasks within the business
• Relay important information to relevant teams or individuals regarding operational changes or updates.

What we seek:

• Minimum of First Degree
• At least 3-5 years of experience in operational roles, preferably in Fintech.
• Medium-level understanding of cryptocurrency.
• Highly skilled in utilising various technology and tech tools.
• Demonstrated expertise in operations management, including team scheduling and 24-hour team oversight.
• Proven ability to scale and manage manual processes effectively, ensuring operational efficiency.
• Proficiency in Notion, and Google suite tools.
• Experience with AI and AI tools.
