    Operations Manager

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the daily activities of our fintech operations in Lagos.
    • The role will ensure seamless business processes, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across all departments.
    • The ideal candidate will have strong experience in fintech operations, process optimization, and team management, with a proven track record of driving efficiency and supporting business growth.

    Key Responsibilities
    Operational Oversight:

    • Manage daily business operations to ensure smooth execution across all functions.
    • Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize workflows.
    • Monitor and track KPIs to ensure service delivery and customer satisfaction.
    • Collaborate with the product and technology teams to align operational processes with business goals.

    Regulatory & Compliance:

    • Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements (CBN, SEC, NDIC, Data Protection, etc.).
    • Oversee compliance reporting and risk management frameworks.
    • Work closely with legal/compliance teams to manage audits and ensure operational controls are in place.

    Financial & Resource Management:

    • Support budget planning, cost optimization, and financial control measures.
    • Oversee cash flow processes, transaction monitoring, and reconciliation.
    • Ensure operational accuracy in settlements, reporting, and customer transactions.

    Team Management & Leadership:

    • Lead and mentor operations staff, ensuring clear performance targets and professional growth.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
    • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between operations, finance, sales, and customer experience teams.

    Process Optimization & Technology:

    • Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions to improve operational efficiency.
    • Implement dashboards and reporting systems to provide visibility into key metrics.
    • Support automation initiatives and the integration of new tools to scale operations.

    Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Act as a liaison between management, external partners, and regulators.
    • Prepare and present periodic reports on operational performance to senior leadership.
    • Support strategic initiatives and new product rollouts from an operational standpoint.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
    • Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in operations management, preferably in fintech, banking, or financial services.
    • Strong understanding of fintech products, payment systems, compliance, and financial regulations.
    • Proven track record in team management, process optimization, and scaling operations.
    • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and operational tools; knowledge of data analytics and dashboards is an advantage.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
