Role Summary:

As an Occupational Therapist at our client's healthcare facility, you will work with individuals of all ages to improve their ability to perform daily activities and regain independence following injury, illness, or disability. You will assess patients' functional abilities, develop personalized treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions to enhance occupational performance.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional functioning to identify areas of impairment and areas of strength.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' goals, needs, and abilities, using evidence-based therapeutic interventions and modalities.
• Implement therapeutic activities and exercises to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, balance, and activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Provide adaptive equipment and assistive devices to facilitate independence and participation in meaningful activities.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, physical therapists, and speech therapists, to coordinate holistic care and promote optimal outcomes for patients.
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques, home exercise programs, and strategies for maximizing independence and quality of life.
• Document patient progress, treatment interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in the electronic health record.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Valid certification or licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Proven experience working as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a hospital or rehabilitation setting.
• Knowledge of occupational therapy principles, techniques, and interventions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
