Nutrition Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning Consultants
Leads or supports the design and implementation of research and other MERL activities to ensure activities fill evidence gaps, address the needs of USAID/Washington and Missions, and enhance multi-sectoral nutrition programming.
Coordinates ongoing national or regional research and MERL activities with local partners and core project teams.
Maintains excellent working relationships with project stakeholders.
Supports design and implementation of MERL activities, including study design, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
May contribute to communicating project results through reports, policy briefs, national and international forums and other appropriate avenues.
What We Value
Master’s or advanced degree in nutrition science and policy, public health or another closely related field.
Professional experience with one or more of the following technical areas in nutrition: micronutrient deficiencies, food fortification, infant and young child feeding, school age and adolescent nutrition, early childhood development.
Demonstrated experience in nutrition monitoring, evaluation, research and learning.
Familiarity with USAID’s multi-sectoral nutrition and health system strengthening approaches and gender programming.
Strong oral and written communication skills; excellent demonstrated interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to work and coordinate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders, including national and local governments, civil society organizations, private sector representatives, and local communities.
Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required.
