    New Patient Coordinator

    Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

    Job Summary

    • A patient coordinator functions as the primary point of contact between health care professionals and patients in a practice. The patient coordinator will perform administrative tasks such as greeting/welcoming patients, answering calls, responding to inquiries, managing schedules, arranging appointments, processing payments, gathering information, and keeping records.
    • A patient coordinator will also be responsible for consulting with patients and determining their needs, developing care plans, coordinating patient-care services, educating them about their condition, and working with the clinical team to evaluate interventions.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Consult and collaborate with other health care providers and specialists to set up patient appointments and treatment plans.
    • Check-in on the patient regularly and evaluate and document their progress.
    • Answer patient calls, emails and questions, including finding insurance estimates.
    • Confidentially manage patient accounts
    • Work as a team player to ensure each patient receives the best service possible.
    • Assist the care team with developing and assessing health interventions.
    • Consult and collaborate with other health care providers and specialists to set up patient appointments and treatment plans.
    • Check-in on the patient regularly and evaluate and document their progress.

    Requirements

    • A Degree in Nursing or any related field
    • License is required.
    • At least 2-3 years' experience in care coordination or clinical practices.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    • Strong analytical thinking and the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
    • Excellent customer service.
    • Compassion and empathy.
