Optometrist at Soteria Eye Clinic

• This is a full-time, on-site position for an Optometrist based in Lagos.
• The Optometrist will conduct comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose and manage various eye conditions, prescribe corrective eyeglasses or contact lenses, and provide vision therapy or low vision rehabilitation as needed.
• Additional responsibilities include counseling patients on eye care practices, collaborating with other eye care professionals, and staying updated on advancements in optometry and vision care.
• A high degree of professionalism and empathy, along with excellent patient communication, will be essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in conducting comprehensive eye exams and diagnosing vision impairments and eye diseases
• Knowledge of prescribing glasses, contact lenses, and other corrective measures
• Skills in vision therapy and low vision rehabilitation
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to provide patient education and counseling
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and maintain a high level of professionalism
• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited program
• State licensure as an Optometrist in Nigeria
• Experience in the field of eye care or a specialization is a plus
• Attention to detail and commitment to excellent patient care
