Network Support Officer at Rite Foods Limited

Job Purpose

• The Network Support Officer is responsible for ensuring the availability, security, reliability, and optimal performance of the organization’s network infrastructure. The role provides technical support for LAN, WAN, wireless, and internet connectivity, monitors network performance, troubleshoots network-related issues, implements security standards, and supports the deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the company’s IT infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage helpdesk and provide first level technical assistance to staff in line with predefined policies and procedures
• Maintain the network infrastructure of Rite Foods Limited.
• Support the performance of a wide range of network administration duties, including installations, debugging, maintenance, upgrades, and general support for Routers, Switches, Servers, Access Points, Printers and general network enabled devices.
• Ensure the setup and maintenance of employee’s telephone system, active directory accounts, exchange mailboxes, remote access security, network file storage and other appropriate systems.
• Ensure that backups of all server data are being performed as stated in the Standard Operating Procedures.
• Support the rebuilding of network components when necessary because of network crash or failure
• Support the regular update network configurations
• Support Antivirus protection for all computers and servers on the network
• Make technology recommendations of what hardware/software is needed at the server and user levels

Qualification

• First degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering related discipline.
• Relevant Professional Certifications
• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience, preferably in an FMCG relevant work experience in a well-structured FMCG (botting) company
