    Network Engineer

    Location: Omu-Aran, Kwara
    Department: Centre For Systems & Information Services

    Job Description

    • Maximizes network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with network architects on network optimization.
    • Installing and configuring network equipment such as Cisco, Mikrotik wireless, switch and routers.
    • Reporting network operational status by gathering, prioritizing information managing projects. Good Understanding of Wifi technologies.
    • Good knowledge of server administration most importantly LINUX.
    • Good Network Troubleshooting skills Monitoring computer systems to improve network performance for all systems and nodes on the network Troubleshooting, resolving, and communicating networking issues to other staff and management.
    • You analyze and further develop our existing network infrastructure Maintaining current knowledge and understanding of security and networking best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to company systems.
    • Implementing disaster recovery procedures Creating firewalls rules and updating policies

    Other Important Information

    • At least a B.Sc. or HND in Electrical Engineering or other related fields mentioned above.
    • At least 2 years of network experience Ability to document work briefs and generate report as required.
    • Ability to accurately estimate the scope and effort required to deliver complex technical projects Great interest in continuously developing the network know-how

    Specializations Required:

    • Degree in Computer Science, Communication Engineering, Electrical Electronics Engineering and Computer Engineering.
