We are seeking a Naval Architect to own architecture, stability analysis, and hydrodynamic performance across our marine platform portfolio.
This role works in close partnership with the Lead Systems and Mechanical Engineer and is critical to ensuring our platforms are not only buildable but seaworthy, stable, and optimised for their operating profiles.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and optimise hull forms for a range of manned, unmanned, and autonomous marine platforms across different size classes and operating profiles
Conduct stability, seakeeping, and resistance analysis to validate hull designs against operational requirements
Produce technical drawings, calculations, and documentation to support design reviews and regulatory or classification processes
Collaborate directly with the systems engineering and mechanical design function to ensure hull architecture is compatible with internal systems integration requirements
Advise on materials, construction methods, and manufacturing approaches suited to advanced manufacturing processes
Support future certification and type approval processes as the product portfolio matures
Requirements
Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
Proven experience designing small-to-medium marine vessels or platforms, including stability and hydrodynamic analysis.
Proficiency in naval architecture and hydrodynamic analysis software.
Ability to produce complete design packages including lines plans, stability booklets, and construction drawings.
Nigerian nationals strongly preferred.
Preferred Background:
Experience with unmanned or autonomous marine platforms.
Familiarity with composite or additively manufactured marine structures.
Exposure to classification society rules for small vessels or special purpose craft.
