Job Description

• We are looking for a Naval Architect to lead the design and construction supervision of ferries as part of a transformative water transport initiative.
• This is a high-impact role for a maritime expert passionate about sustainable vessel innovation and infrastructure development in emerging markets.

What will you be doing?

• Define technical specifications and performance criteria for e-ferries
• Prepare Detailed Engineering Designs (DED) and operational protocols
• Assist in the shipyard and Classification Society selection
• Oversee full construction supervision, equipment inspection, and FATs
• Ensure timely, budget-conscious delivery of high-quality vessels
• Facilitate handover and certification processes 

What are we looking for?

• MSc Degree in Naval Architecture from a globally recognised institution
• Minimum 20 years’ experience in vessel design and construction supervision
• Proven expertise in ferry design, with a preference for electric ferry projects
• Familiarity with Classification Societies and certification processes
• Experience working on IFI-funded projects in developing countries is highly desirable
